About The Owner

Personal & Family Background

Though I lived in Indiana, Texas, Colorado, and Illinois before the age of 9, I spent most of my childhood about 35 miles west of Chicago. I’m a “Yankee” transplant, having moved south of the Mason-Dixon line to attend Clemson University. My wife, who is half-Japanese, was born and raised in a rural North Carolina town so small even the locals barely know it’s name. Now, we’re raising our three children just a stone’s throw from where she grew up.

Work Background

I’ve had a diverse work history, from sweeping parking lots, mopping floors, and taking out the trash at convenience stores, to making technical drawings for an aerospace engineering firm. I’ve worked as a high school computer science teacher and a software developer, all while earning an associate degree and a master’s degree in Computer Science.

With a father who drove trucks and a grandfather who was a private contractor, I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands and have a deep respect for those who do the same.

After 30 years of hard work, frugal living, saving, and investing, I’ve finally realized my lifelong dream of owning and operating my own business. I’m fortunate to have a wife who fully supports my decision to take this leap and invest our life savings in this new venture. Every day, I pray this isn’t a foolhardy decision.

Who’s Involved in the Business

I take personal responsibility for every aspect of my business.

Hobbies & Interests

I’ve built model airplanes, learned MIG welding, done drywall and carpentry, and I enjoy 3D printing and programming motion controllers. I also have a passion for stoic poetry, including these lines that resonate deeply with me:

To live as gently as I can; To be no matter where, a man;
To take what comes of good or ill, and cling to faith and honor still;
To do my best, and let that stand the record of my brain and hand;
And then, should failure come to me, still work and hope for victory;

To have no secret place wherein I stoop unseen to shame or sin…

Accomplishments Worth Sharing

I hold three college degrees, have several published research papers, and I am listed as the inventor on one patent. I’ve completed internships at NASA Langley Research Center and Berkeley National Labs (home to 16 Nobel laureates and the world’s first cyclotron).

Though I wouldn’t call myself exceptionally smart, persistence and self-belief have allowed me to achieve a few things I’m proud of.

Above all, I am most proud of being the husband to a woman far more intelligent and generous than I. She always puts others first, but with a savviness that ensures her efforts go to the most deserving causes. Under her guidance, our three children have grown into individuals who amaze and fill me with pride every day.

Why I Chose N-Hance and My Goals

I’ve always believed in the franchise model. For franchise owners, the established, proven framework greatly reduces the inherent risks of starting a business. The profit incentive motivates both employees and owners to work harder, enhancing the customer experience. Meanwhile, franchise corporations benefit from capital investment and vested interest for rapid expansion.

Reflecting on the successes and failures of my life, I realized I needed a structured plan to follow. That’s why I chose to invest in a franchise with a history of success.

I wanted hands-on work, like my grandfather had. I also sought a business resilient to changing weather, seasons, and economic conditions. Most importantly, it had to be something I could feel good about selling—if I wouldn’t buy it, I wasn’t interested in offering it.

After months of research, I selected N-Hance. Looking at my own kitchen, I knew I’d be willing to pay for their services. The company’s motto, “Do the same when nobody’s watching,” aligns with my personal ethos, and the business has demonstrated solid financial performance.
