3. Cover and protect nicks, gouges, and scratches so that bare wood is not exposed.

4. Fit cabinet doors and drawer fronts with hardware and encourage everyone to use.They’re not only decorative and fashionable, but they also serve to protect the finish from finger oils, dirt and scratching.

5. Never apply finish or polishes over dirty wood surfaces.Before polishing, wipe away all dirt, dust or spills.Applying over dirty wood only worsens the problem.

6. Regulate temperature and humidity levels.Correct environmental conditions will add longevity to the life of your cabinets and all your fine furniture.

7. Steam from the dishwasher or shower will permeate through a finish, resulting in cracking, discoloration and peeling.Wipe down wet surfaces and clean regularly with N-Hance Cabinet Cleaner.

8. Use a ventilating fan when cooking to reduce deposits on your wood surfaces.

9. Exposing your wood surfaces to direct sunlight, bleaches and dries out wood surfaces.Wood stain can discolor and new pigments are prevented from penetrating the wood creating a worn, washed-out effect.Use window coverings to protect your wood from harmful UV rays.

10. Do not drape damp towels over the doors.This traps moisture and will eventually penetrate the finish causing flaking and cracking.
