Here\u2019s an outline, similar to all other services we offer, of our process for a full cabinet color change in Morris and Essex County, NJ.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"CabinetsPage-Heading2\">Step 1: Prep &amp; Detail<\/h2>\n<div class=\"CabinetsPage-Content\">\n<ul>\n<li>After consultation and being certain of your desires for your cabinets, we get to work.<\/li>\n<li>Preparation of the job site is accomplished by masking and draping the work area to protect your property.<\/li>\n<li>We remove knobs and other hardware.<\/li>\n<li>If needed, we will patch and fill any cracks and gaps in the wood to make it look new again.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"CabinetsPage-Heading2\">Step 2: Cleaning<\/h2>\n<div class=\"CabinetsPage-Content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Here we remove dust and debris on and around the cabinets. We use our unique cleaning solution to clean the surfaces.<\/li>\n<li>Our cleaning draws dirt out of the porous wood.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure the area is completely dust-free, we remove and clean air vents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"CabinetsPage-Heading2\">Step 3: Apply Finish<\/h2>\n<div class=\"CabinetsPage-Content\">\n<ul>\n<li>We \u201cremove the grain raise\u201d, which simply means making the wood smoother, and remove contaminants.<\/li>\n<li>Sealer is applied.<\/li>\n<li>For a&nbsp;color change, we spray 3 to 5 coats of stain on each piece. (With&nbsp;color shift&nbsp;jobs, color coats are applied by hand.)<\/li>\n<li>Cabinets are then dried (often with a fan).<\/li>\n<li>We polish the cabinets before adding a finish. This is also known as burnishing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"CabinetsPage-Heading2\">Step 4: Add Protective Finish (applies to Color Shift and Color Change only)<\/h2>\n<div class=\"CabinetsPage-Content\">\n<ul>\n<li>A clear coat is applied to protect the stain from rubbing off in the future.<\/li>\n<li>After a short dry time, a second coat is applied.<\/li>\n<li>(For floors, we use our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nhance.com\/morris\/lightspeed-instant-cure-wood-refinishing\/\">Lightspeed technology<\/a>&nbsp;to instantly cure the finish)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"CabinetsPage-Heading2\">Step 5: Inspection<\/h2>\n<div class=\"CabinetsPage-Content\">\n<ul>\n<li>We want you to be happy with the results!<\/li>\n<li>We inspect every piece and place it all back together.
