John and his son did an outstanding job turning the old beat up cabinets of a newly purchased rental property into a sleek new look. Their special process of cleaning, painting and applying a protective finish for a reasonable price is a viable budget friendly alternative to refacing or replacing. They both are Knowledgeable and professional. They are friendly and work fast, but do not cut any corners. Everything is top notch. Will use them in the future for outside painting projects as well. Highly recommend.

Great job and love, love love my new kitchen look. The crew was terrific to work with too.

It was an absolute pleasure working with JR and his team, we could not be happier with our newly refinished cabinets which have completely changed the look of our home. If you have high standards and want perfect cabinets, this is your team. I look forward to our next project now that I know the difference repainting our cabinets could make and this team has my full trust and confidence. They are extremely meticulous and professional and a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

N-Hance painted our old oak cabinets and did a great job! They installed the hardware as well which was awesome. It completely transformed the kitchen. John and his son were very professional and trustworthy, easy to communicate with & flexible throughout the process. Highly recommend them!

If I could give them 20 stars I would. From the beginning of the process - when I called immediate callback, explanation of the process. Absolutely seamless and I could not be happier with the results. We got so many insane bids from other companies who treated us like we were idiots- not the case with John and the team. Clear communication, reasonable timelines and they even finished early. Would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Their process is great, their people are so polite and respectful AND I love supporting a family owned business. Attaching our before and after photos because they look brand new

The entire nhance team was amazing from start to finish. Always arrived on time. Always did what they said they were going to do. Cleaned up after themselves, and left our kitchen looking amazing. The quality of their work and their craftsmanship is top notch. Best of all they were reasonable, and really easy to work with. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

I would highly recommend N Hance Wood refinishing. This was the second project they’ve worked on at my home. The team is punctual, hard working and the attention to detail is outstanding. They are very receptive to anything I’ve wanted changed as the project has gone on. I very much so trust the team, and the professional product is why I am a returning client. JR, Fausto and Danny were lovely to work with. You won’t be disappointed.

N-Hance refinished all of our kitchen cabinets. We have a large kitchen that was 24 yrs old and very worn, and they made it look like new again. The team took 4 days to finish the job and we are extremely happy with the quality of the work.

After weeks of research and several in-home consultations with estimates on cabinet refinishing, my wife and I decided to go with N-Hance Wood Refinishing of North San Diego County. We couldn't be any happier and more satisfied with our choice because John and his incredible team (son JR, Fausto, and Danny) are in my opinion, "The Best Cabinet Refinishers" around based on personal experience. These people are very punctual, hardworking professionals who take obvious pride in what they do as evidenced by their quality workmanship. They were able to transform our 36 year old kitchen cabinets into like-new condition with a modern look. Just thankful we found John and his amazing crew. Would definitely recommend them to friends and family, and will use them again in the future for sure. Thank you so much John and team!

Nhance did a great job completing our doors in the kitchen, adding doors to our living room cabinets and refinishing our front door. Everything looks great, was done quickly, and for a fair price. No complaints!

Very professional and friendly. Punctual and timely execution of the cabinet refacing project. Would certainly recommend.

Exceptional service of retreating wood to make it look like new. I have used them three times and every time, neighbors comment on how beautiful our wood looks—doors, window frames, garage door, cabinets—they can do it all!

John and JR were great to work with. We searched long and hard for someone to refresh our original 1950s kitchen cabinets. Quality job, fast and professional. Would definitely recommend.

Wish there were more stars! My kitchen cabinets came out better than expected and look brand new. I was thinking about refacing but after speaking with John I decided on painting. What a difference. John was a pleasure to work with. The job was seamless.

John and his crew are miracle workers. They took horrible water damaged kitchen cabinets and turned them into showroom kitchen cabinets! This team actually cares about the quality of workmanship . A rare find. I went through 5-6 contractors trying to find a good one. This one is a true gem!! You can see some before and after photos. This section had the worst water damage. Look at the difference! The other side of kitchen- so gorgeous! Still waiting for countertop and backsplash but here is what Nhance did. LOVE it so much!!!

John came to our house to give an estimate and book a date. The pricing was reasonable and the team completed the job in 2-3 days. My kitchen cabinets are light oak colored and after they degreased it, they were able to match the stain to the original color. They also left care instructions and stain color for long term maintenance. I only got half the kitchen done and look forward to completing the rest of the cabinets in the future.

Easy & efficient!

Professional quality work at an honest price. John and his team are easy to work with and they clearly take pride in the work they do. The exterior and interior paint looks great. The cabinets were in very bad shape and now look amazing. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

JR and his dad and team transformed our kitchen so beautifully in just 4 days!! We love it so much and they were all so nice to work with, especially JR. We love it and are so grateful we found them!!

John and JR made our 35-year-old, well-worn, kitchen cabinet doors and drawers look as good as new. They cleaned years of grit and grime and refinished with a protective finish that will be easy to clean and maintain for years into the future. They completed the work in a timely manner and had everything back together as promised, in 3 days! We always appreciate working with contractors who know their business and take pride in what they do. That's exactly what you get with the team at N-Hance Refinishing of North San Diego County.

It took just 2 days to renew the look of our almost 33 year old cabinets! We're very happy with the end result! The guys were respectful of our home - wearing shoe covers to protect our floors on a rainy day.

They made our cabinets look new. We have been in the house 17 years. Cabinets were dirty and greasy. No dust. No mess. Stayed in the house.

These guys were responsive, kind and honest. Great work at a fair price. The process of it all was fantastic. There was little to no interruption while they did the work in a matter of a few days in my kitchen.

I contracted with NHance to paint all my cabinets and stair handrail. John and Jared are a father and son crew and they did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them.

Professional, timely, excellent suggestions on our beautiful kitchen cabinet redo at a very fair and reasonable price. Quick and clean. Touch up on wood in bath and floorboards made them look new. Delightful team who we will use again to paint our home. What a blessing!

Great job refinishing sun faded front door and touching up kitchen cabinets that N-hance refinished for us back in 2009

This team has 70 years of experience combined between father and son. They are punctual, very kind and the costs are fair. As a matter of fact, when can they return from their full schedule, they will continue other work. I'm truly excited to continue my association with them.

John & JR took my 1973 old Kitchen Cabinet's and transferred them into 2024!! All inside of 3 Days!! Great job Gents! Thank you for all your effort especially with the hinges!! It was a pleasure doing business with both John & JR, two very straight shooters when it comes to what options are available.

John, JR and his crew were incredible to work with. They are friendly, personable, arrived on time, cleaned up after themselves and completed work on time as scheduled. Very thankful to have them work on our kitchen update and plan to work with them again.

This is an original 1926 oak floor that John & JR refinished in my home.

Family run business. John and JR were respectful, prompt and professional from the minute we met them. They showed us our options to beautify and give life back to our 28 year old cabinets. A kitchen renewal is never easy, but our results are definitely worth it! Our thanks and appreciation!

N-Hance wood refinishing completely transformed our kitchen cabinets. Great work! Highly recommend.

I highly recommend John w/ NHance. We previously had a "handyman" kitchen cabinet paint job that was severely peeling. We had two coats of old low-quality paint (dark brown and white) underneath. Our cabinets are in great shape, so I didn't want to go with a costly refacing. Luckily, we found John and his team. They were able to clean, sand, prime, and even repaired some doors. Our kitchen feels fully refreshed. We are so happy we went this route. They're a friendly, experienced & knowledgeable father-and-son team that did most of the work off-site in under two weeks.

Great work and service!

Great customer service and meticulous work. We will use them again for the rest of our house. Kitchen cabinets repainted in two shades. We love the Nhance process. Highly recommended.

John, JR and crew did an outstanding job. We asked for our 15 yr old cabinets to “look like new again” and they came through! The quality of workmanship is exceptional. JR let us know exactly what the timeline would be and followed up with texts of their progress. All of our questions and concerns were addressed to our satisfaction. We would highly recommend their service!

So happy with my bathroom cabinet refresh. John and JR are very knowledgeable and efficient.

We have solid cherry custom cabinets that are 25 years old and had major water damage as well as wear and tear. The N-Hance team exceeded my expectations in refinishing the cabinets in the kitchen, main bathroom, and bar area. They carefully matched the color and removed the damage caused by the water. The cabinets look like new. JR and his staff are professional, friendly, and experts at refinishing. They worked efficiently and finished the project on time. They did not go over the bid price even though they went above and beyond with details. They also refinished our front door which is made with custom door pulls, art glass and wood. It looks like a new door. They were careful to protect the pulls and art glass. They also refinished the 25-year-old threshold and made it look like new. I highly recommend using N-Hance for any wood refinish projects.

John was a huge help in our request to get our kitchen cabinets refinished. The original cabinets were from 1995 and he made them look brand new! He made the process simple and quick. He started the cabinets on a Monday and had them done by Wednesday. He listened to exactly what we needed, arrived on time each day, and offered the most competitive price. We highly recommend John and his business, he was a pleasure to work with!

We had our kitchen cabinets refinished this week by the good folks at N-Hance. The finished product is terrific. We are very pleased with the results which have completely revitalized our kitchen. They were also friendly and efficient. We highly recommend this company if you need this kind of work done.

What a pleasure to work with JR and his crew. Our work was done on-time and on budget with no surprises - just a beautiful new look to our kitchen cabinets. If you are looking to change the look of your cabinet or other wood fixtures inside your home, look no further. Have John Nicholas come out and give you a quote and then get on their schedule - you will be glad you did!

Quality workmanship. They work quickly and expertly.

Small job but technically skillful. Added a new drawer to existing cabinets. Great match up after. Great work John, JR and Fausto.

Always on time. professional and explain everything clearly love my cabinets..

John and JR replaced our drawers and doors in our kitchen. They ordered quality products and finished them to perfection. They were both very professional and pleasant to work communicating regularly and finishing the job in a timely fashion. If you are thinking of updating your kitchen cabinets but don’t want to tear out boxes they can refinish your existing or can order you beautiful new soft close drawers and doors!

Great experience working with N-Hance! They swooped in, took care of my kitchen cabinets off site then brought them back. Next to no mess and looks flawless. So thankful!

BEYOND EXPECTATIONS!!!!  Wow... complete transformation for our wood cabinets. John and company (his son JR was delightful) were on time and very respectful and clean. Imagine 18 years of grime (I tried!!!!) and grease .... GONE! My cabinets are gleaming! Well done! 5 stars -Patty N. Carlsbad

John & JR are amazing to work with. After talking about my project with John, I felt comfortable trusting the finishing of my new black walnut kitchen cabinets to him and his team and was not disappointed. They helped work with us to find the exact tone we were looking to achieve, and the whole process was on time and budget. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend trusting these guys for any project demanding best quality results.

NHANCE did a beautiful, complete refinishing of our 18 year old cherry wood kitchen and family room cabinets. They are a very professional team, working efficiently, neatly, thoroughly to completion in a short time at a reasonable cost. We are totaly satisfied and have scheduled additional work in other areas of our home. These guys are GREAT!

John did a fabulous job on my kitchen cabinets and transformed my entire kitchen! Excellent work!

We bought a 17-year old home with beautiful cherry wood kitchen cabinets that had seen a lot of wear and tear. John and his crew were able to restore them to their original beautiful finish at a fraction of the cost to paint and about 1/10th the cost to replace. We were so impressed we expanded the scope of work to include the bathroom cabinets. All I can say is WOW! I wish I could give them 10 stars.

NHance did an amazing job on our kitchen cabinets and island. They were professional, on time and very communicative. Their work was outstanding. Our cabinets look great and so fresh now with a new coat of paint. Our island looks great too. Everyone who has seen them is very impressed. They were efficient and worked hard. They were done in just a few days and we could not be happier. It is like a whole new kitchen!

We love the finished product!! - cabinets painted from brown to Arizona White with antique finish. The team showed up on time daily, cleaned up every day, excellent quality finish on cabinets, perfect artistry for cabinet antiquing, minimal disruption to our daily lives. Will use them again soon!

Restored 10 year old cabinets to excellent condition.

We are very pleased. The quality of work is exceptional. We highly recommend N-Hance for your cabinets. John and JR were extremely professional.

John and JR did a professional job at transforming my kitchen by replacing the doors and drawers.  My 40 year kitchen looks modern and the soft close doors/drawers are amazingly efficient.

What an amazing transformation! Our tired, old bannister and cabinetry is completely transformed and looks brand new. It’s a great alternative to replacing old cabinetry or other millwork. They did a great job and were so fast and conscientious, making sure the color was perfectly even on all surfaces. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a facelift for the wood surfaces in your home.

Excellent finished product

Great experience very personal from the owners of the company to the employees . Very neat and clean and are cabinets came beautiful even better then we expected couldn’t be happier

If I could give 10 stars I would. When John and his staff were done with our cabinets I could not believe how great they looked. The exceeded all my expectations and they even did the top of my coffee table. I would 100% recommend.

Cabinets look brand new!

Just stellar. Super easy to work with to get a quote. Came over — respected mask use — and looked at the place and didn’t change his mind about what this would entail. We went from honey oak to white. And also added some pops of blue. Didn’t take them very long at all, and we are extremely pleased with the results. If they age well, this was a true find!

Amazing transformation. They painted our honey oak cabinets white and the island blue. Nice guys. Consistent mask use .

John and his team were very professional and responsive during the project. They were able to answer the questions and concerns we had throughout the project and did a fantastic job redoing our kitchen cabinets. They finished one day ahead of schedule and the results are amazing!!!

N-Hance Wood Refinishing did an incredible job on our house, they completely transformed it! John and his son Jared are so professional, detailed and thorough, and they were a pleasure to work with. We had them do our kitchen, stairs, media unit, fireplace, desk and cabinets and we were blown away by the results. We could not be happier with how it all came out!! Their work is amazing and we would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have their wood painted.

John and his crew were outstanding . On time, cleaned up after themselves, were perfect in installation so as to keep the fabricator of our countertops happy and a no nonsense organization. The price quote was not added to as they did their work and it was very fair. It was important to me that they give me a quote before starting and they were up front all the way. His cabinet maker Loui did beautiful work that my wife and I really appreciated. These guys are what refacing and renovating kitchens should look like. Very thankful we chose them! Tim And Pam

John and his staff were on time and completed the staining of our kitchen cabinets on time. John also repaired two cabinet drawers which I previously could not find anyone to repair. Day 1 removed the cabinet doors and they were taken off premise for thorough cleaning and degreasing. It was so nice that I only had to remove contents of drawers...not cabinets or pantry. Day 2 stain was confirmed with sample application. Day 3 stationary wood boxes were stained, satin finish and sealed with UV light. Final day took 3-4 hours. Hardly knew they were in the house. Smell created only lasted about an hour and quickly dissipated with some ventilation. Minimal inconvenience and no dust noted as there was no sanding.

N-Hance refurbished our kitchen cabinets in the new house we bought. They turned out better than I could have ever hoped for and I am so happy with them. I would recommend anyone thinking about painting their cabinets use N-Hance you won't regret it. The new look you get for the price is amazing.

John painted our condo including our kitchen cabinets. The cabinets turned out great and made our out dated kitchen look really modern and bright. We would absolutely use his services again.

Excellent family run business! Love my new distressed fireplace. Thank you Rita. Looking forward to getting cabinets done.

We are so happy with the paint job we received from John and his son, J.R. They walked us through the process of choosing paint, scheduling painting days and communicating professionally through each and every step. They are a great, efficient team as well as being kind and caring individuals. We would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a positive painting experience!

Hire this company if you're looking to change the wood color of your stairway railing or hallway linen cabinets - wonderful people to work with - communicate well, clean job site, professional work - all completed on time at a reasonable price!

We are so happy with our beautiful cabinets! John and the entire N-Hance team were awesome and very professional. They completely transformed our kitchen and bathroom cabinets and we can’t thank them enough. We are new home owners and it’s always stressful trusting people in your home. They came through and made house renovating much less stressful. Thank you guys so much!

I had the pleasure of working with N-Hance Wood Refinishing. They are professional, efficient and more than met my expectations. I have a large kitchen and 4 bathrooms I had every cabinet refinished in my home, and my house looks like a new home. My kitchen is absolutely beautiful. I own a service company myself so I know the importance to provide excellent customer service, professionalism and the willingness to go the extra mile for the customer and they exceeded it all with a smile!

John and his team did an awesome job sanding, staining and sealing my front door and the wood around my stained glass windows! They were weather beaten, faded, flaky and I didn’t know if they could ever be restored to their original glory. John and his crew were punctual, friendly and fast! I am so happy with my entry now! It’s amazing! Thank you, John!

With only a few worn places in our kitchen cabinets I thought we were headed for new cabinets because of the challenge of finding a quality service to fix our problems. NHance made our problems disappear and the cabinets look better than new.

Did a great job, needed bathroom cabinets redone to put house up for sale, he accomplished the mission on time, work was done in a timely efficient manner. All the other contractors wanted to do a complete rebuild with a much higher estimate.

Our cabinets look brand new! They did a wonderful job and our kitchen looks beautiful. John and his crew were very efficient and they arrived and finished when they said they would. We highly recommend them.

John Nicholas and his crew at N-Hance Wood Refinishing were great! They arrived when they said they would, completed the work when they said they would, were very clean while they worked, and best of all, their work looks fantastic. Our cabinets now have an updated, very clean and modern look. Thanks John!!

John and his team have done a fantastic job when it comes to doing Cabinet and Floor Refinishing. We highly recommend their service. Great company to work with, reputable, trustworthy who deliver a superior service than other contractors we've found. Great job!

John and JR were great. It all only took 2 days and it looks like I have a brand new kitchen. Pristine. From painted to white to a very rich med. Cherry wood finish. Super Happy.

There is a big difference with how John and JR refinish floors, cabinets etc vs. the rest of the competition. They are very efficient and the work is amazing. We highly recommend them for any project. We were thoroughly pleased. The bonus is takes them 1/4 of the time compares to other companies.

I was so impressed with John Nicholas and his front door refinishing team! We redid my front door and it looks 1,000 times better. They accidentally broke a photo frame that was on the table near the door and John came back the next day and gave me a $10 bill to replace it. You don't get service like that anymore! We're going to use them again to paint our house in the future. Highly recommended!

John Nicholas and his crew (which includes his son, J.R.) were a pleasure to work with.  They did everything we agreed to, on time and professionally, which puts them way ahead of 90% of the contractors I have dealt with in recent years.  They gave me a "new" kitchen in three days and it is gorgeous.  My yellowed maple cabinets are now a rich reddish brown, exactly the color I had in mind.  They also refinished my bathroom cabinet, front door and dining room table.  They were not satisfied until I was and they were incredibly patient with me as I am a perfectionist.  On top of a job well done, they were impeccably clean.  All I had to do was reload the drawers and wipe down the counters.  I could not ask for more from any contractor and I can readily recommend NHance as executed by John and his crew.
