We are known for our innovation here at N-Hance of Central Coast. This includes our unique Lightspeed® Nano UV system, which is able to instantly cure your cabinets after we refinish them. Here is what you should know about Lightspeed and why it will deliver superior results when we’re working on your cabinets.

What is Lightspeed?

Have you ever been to the dentist and had a cavity filled? If so, the chances are, you’re already familiar with light-curing technology. In fact, industries all over the globe – from the space station to manufacturing plants, medical and dental fields, and more – have been using technology similar to Lightspeed to revolutionize the way products are made.

With this UV technology, processes that would have typically taken hours to complete or cure can now be done in seconds. At N-Hance of Central Coast, we are proud to use UV technology in the form of Lightspeed, which cures our customers’ cabinets for a faster and better-quality finish.

Previously, these rock-hard finishes were only available on new cabinets from a factory. Now, thanks to Lightspeed, you can get the best of all worlds: cabinets that look like new, stand strong in demanding kitchen environments, and also cost less than traditional cabinet refinishing.

How Does Lightspeed Work?

After your cabinets have been refinished, we will complete the process by applying the final top coat and using our Lightspeed system. This will trigger faster curing thanks to the UV wavelengths it emits. Our products also contain photoinitiators that respond to this UV light and begin to cure instantly. This is quite different from heat or thermal oxygen curing, which is how traditional cabinet refinishers often cure cabinets.

This can be compared to the more traditional approach to curing, which can take up to two weeks to be able to fully use your kitchen cabinets once they are refinished. With N-Hance of Central Coast, the finish will be durable, yet ready to use as soon as we are done. This means no waiting around to get back into your kitchen and return to normal life! Having Lightspeed as part of our cabinet refinishing process gives you a less stressful and more efficient process for you and your family.

Here are some of the other advantages of Lightspeed:

A Rock-Hard Finish

Finishes that are cured with Lightspeed tend to be smoother, tiger, and more flexible, meaning that the finish on your cabinets will last longer and be more resistant to stains, chips scuffs, and scratches. You’ll get both the beauty and durability that sets our cabinets apart.

Superior Performance in a Kitchen Environment

Kitchens are often one of the most used spaces in a home, and they usually ended up being one of the messiest ones too. Thanks to the proprietary products we use, combined with our Lightspeed system, your cabinets will be resistant to oil, grease splatter, fingerprints, and constant wear and tear. Not every finish is designed to hold up in a kitchen, but fortunately, N-Hance’s products are!

Easy-to-Clean Cabinets

Our Lightspeed finish will also help to make your kitchen cabinets easy to clean and maintain. All you’ll need is a damp microfiber cloth to gently wipe down your cabinets. If you find that you have any build-up for oil and grease, then use a mild dish soap and water combination and let it sit on the surface for up to one minute. After, wipe gently with a cloth.

Less VOCS and More Family-Friendly

Did you know that Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are emitted from traditional paint products and primers? And when these compounds are in the air, they can irritate your family and pets in addition to harming the environment.

With N-Hance of Central Coast, most of our products are low-VOC. Plus, our Lightspeed system helps to limit any exposure to lingering VOCs even further since your cabinets are cured instantly.
