Picture Shows New Island, New Doors Throughout, and Two-Tone Stain and Paint

During the first two years of the Covid era, the demand for cabinet refinishing went sky high. Because consumers didn’t want to wait for the top cabinet refinishing companies, many other painters decided to jump in the pool and try to capture some of that business, and they did. Now, the market is flooded with many more contractors claiming to be good at cabinet refinishing or cabinet refacing. The fact of the matter is that it is now ever more important for you, the consumer, to do your diligent research to find out who is best for you and your situation.

Some things to watch out for that we have seen are companies offering long warranties when they haven’t even been doing kitchen cabinets for the period of time they offer in their warranty. Watch out for companies that call you several months later and offer drastic discounts if you can sign-on quickly. Read reviews on sites like Google and Facebook that have the verified checkbox next to them. Companies that are painting your cabinets with store bought paint will likely not give you a strong warranty.

Long story short, this is a big investment that you don’t want to repeat in two or three years. Go with a company that has been in business for a long time, has the support of a vast network, and will back their product with a great warranty. We are constantly redoing cabinets that another contractor has done only two or three years ago and they would not go back and fix the issues for the consumer.
