Cabinet refacing has been the most common way to change the look of your kitchen for less cost than traditional remodeling. That is, until now.

Refacing has been the choice of the last 10-15 years for a few reasons. First, there is a perceived cost difference. I use the word perceived for a reason. I’ll get back to that shortly. Second, the inconvenience to the customer is lowered significantly. Usually, a homeowner has access to their kitchen before and after the workday. This does assume that your refacing contractor is decent enough to clean his mess at the end of each day. Third, why fill a landfall with perfectly good cabinets that jut need a facelift? Plus, most of the cabinets built before 2000 are higher quality than their replacements!

Let’s get back to the perceived lower cost of cabinet refacing. Most people assume the cost of refacing is lower and sales people will not always be honest enough to change that thought in your head. While working for a large home improvement company, I figured out early on that refacing did not offer people more than a 10% savings over a similar remodel. When presented with that evidence, most people chose to remodel. So, why is refacing not so much lower than remodeling? It’s simple. Labor costs. A majority of the cost of refacing is labor. Labor to build custom sized doors, labor to cut and install the laminate that goes over the cabinets. And finally, labor to warranty against the eventual peeling of the laminate material.

Having less inconvenience is definitely a huge selling point for cabinet refacing, but that also exists with NHance. We make sure you have access to your kitchen before and after each workday. In fact, a typical color change takes 4-5 days. There will only be one night on average that a customer is without their kitchen for.

Finally, NHance offers the same benefit of keeping perfectly good cabinets out of landfills. Cabinets of yesterday are better quality than those of today. Why step down in quality when you can give your cabinets a facelift and make them look new? In fact, we take it a step further by offering products and services that are not toxic to the environment.
