N-Hance of Fort Wayne Loves Pets

We know how much your pets mean to you. Pets are a valuable part of any Grabill family after all. Home renovations can make them feel super nervous and anxious. New people will be coming into their house making loud noises and changing up the environment they feel comfortable in. N-Hance Wood Refinishing of Fort Wayne loves your pets and wants to help them feel safe while we work in your home. We’ve picked up a few tips through the years to help you get your pets feeling nice and secure while we’re working on your home.

Microchip Your Pet

We will do everything we can to make sure we don’t scare your pet. However, there are times when they might panic, get loose, and run away. When this happens, a microchip can help you locate them quickly and safely. If you haven’t already done this, it might be a good idea to get it done before your next home renovation project.

Keep as Normal a Schedule as Possible

Pets can get really worried when their daily routine is broken up. Most animals are creatures of habit which means you can help them get ready for any changes. In the days and weeks leading up to your project, try to get them used to walking through different areas of the home, using the bathroom at certain times, and maybe even eating in a different place if needed. During our initial consultation, we would be happy to give you a schedule of when we will be in the home and how long the project will take us to complete so you can start setting up a good routine for your pet.

Create A Secure Place For Them

It is very important for your pet to have a sort of safe haven they feel comfortable going to when they start to feel nervous. Most of the work we do takes place in the kitchen or bathroom so try to set up a spot far from those areas that your animal can retreat to or stay in while we’re in your home.

Consult a Vet

Your vet might have some good coping tips to help your animal during these stressful renovations. They can also give recommendations about chemical exposure that may occur during a home renovation. N-Hance does strive to use safe products, but it’s still a good idea to check with a doctor and review products with your craftsman beforehand.

Board Them

This is the worst-case scenario and we would never out-right tell you to do it. Sometimes your best option though is to board them for the time we’re in your home. Luckily our cabinet refinishing process can be completed in just 1-5 days, and thanks to our Lightspeed® Nano instant-cure even our hardwood floor refinishing projects can be completed in a fraction of the time as though other guys.

Your satisfaction and the safety of your pets really are the top priorities of N-Hance of Fort Wayne. We will work as hard as we can to achieve both. If you’re looking for a cabinet refinisher in the Grabill, IN area who loves your pets as much as you do, look no further than N-Hance Wood Refinishing!
