When you choose N-Hance®, you can renew your cabinets and hardwood floors while restoring and conserving the natural world. Our painting process helps conserve natural resources, reduce fossil fuel usage, limit greenhouse gases, and improve air quality. And for every painting project by N-Hance, we donate one tree to be planted with American Forests!
Americans use a staggering 27 percent of the wood commercially harvested worldwide. A significant portion of this wood is harvested in an unsustainable manner, making the impact on forest ecosystems that much greater.
N-Hance helps minimize this impact by making it easy to refinish existing cabinets instead of replacing them. And now, thanks to our partnership with American Forests, we’re helping reverse this trend by planting new trees in forests across the U.S.
N-Hance Plants One Tree for Every Kitchen or Floor We Refinish
By choosing to refinish with N-Hance, you’re helping replenish forests across the United States. For every kitchen and every hardwood floor that N-Hance refinishes, we plant one new tree. By partnering with American Forests, N-Hance strives to protect wildlife, fight climate change, and improve air and water quality through restoring forests throughout the United States.
N-Hance’s reforestation efforts are in partnership with American Forests, the oldest national conservation organization in the United States. American Forests has been working to conserve U.S. forests since 1875 and has planted over 60 million trees since 1990.

- Each year, a mature tree produces 260 lbs. of oxygen.
- One tree can filter up to 36,500 gallons of water annually.
- N-Hance is projected to plant over 10,000 trees every year.
N-Hance Not Only Plants Trees but Saves Trees for Every Kitchen We Refinish
Replacing your kitchen cabinets instead of painting them doesn’t just hit your wallet. It also depletes the world’s forests and adds to landfills. By painting your cabinets instead of replacing them, you’ll conserve trees and help preserve fragile ecosystems. You’ll also reduce the consumption of fossil fuels that go into lumber production and cabinet manufacturing!
Did you know?
- Forests are the world’s greatest natural defense against CO2 emissions.
- Mature trees absorb between 48 to 50 lbs. of CO2 each year.
- One tree can reduce peak summer temperatures by 2⁰- 9⁰F.
N-Hance Offers Dust-Free, Low-VOC Refinishing
In addition to our work conserving and restoring forest ecosystems, N-Hance also strives to reduce air pollution. We do this by limiting wood dust and VOCs, the two biggest sources of air pollution on traditional refinishing projects.
Traditional painting relies on sanding, which produces large volumes of hazardous wood dust. But with N-Hance, most surfaces can be refinished with zero sanding. When sanding is necessary, our dust containment system ensures a virtually dust-free experience.
To further reduce indoor air pollution, we exclusively use water-based polyurethane finishes. Oil based finishes contain high levels of VOCs, causing them to generate toxic and foul-smelling fumes. Our finishes contain low levels of VOCs, making them virtually odorless and safe for indoor use.
Did you know?
- If inhaled, wood dust particles can become permanently trapped in the lungs.
- Solvent-based finishes can release toxic VOCs for days or weeks after application.
- N-Hance can refinish cabinets and hardwood floors with virtually no dust or toxic fumes!
