Stained Cabinet Color Change

N-Hance developed a unique translucent stain process which allows the natural look of the grain to remain visible through the translucent stain. This process involves a much more dramatic effect than other cabinet refinishing processes which often use gel stains or quasi-paints which destroy the natural look of the grain.  Popular choices are Mahogany, Cherry, and Espresso.

Our Stained Color Change is a 3-5 day process.  Much of the work is completed in our Des Plaines facility where the doors and drawer fronts will be prepped and then sprayed in several coats to achieve the custom stain color you chose.  We then spray several coats of clear water-based full body urethane finish. Finally, the custom colored cabinets are cured with Ultraviolet light similar to the way new cabinets are cured.

We replicate the same process on the cabinet frames and stationary pieces in your home to make sure there is a consistency in color and sheen throughout the kitchen.  While the thought of spraying finishes in the kitchen scares many, don’t worry our technicians (all full-time team members, no subs) complete hundreds of these jobs each year without incident and N-Hance products are eco-friendly and safe.
