When you want a big upgrade to your kitchen, without a huge expense, let N-Hance® reface your cabinets. This is a process where we replace your old, dated, or worn out doors and drawer fronts with brand new, custom-made ones. The cabinet boxes are then painted or stained to match for a unified look.

While many companies offer cabinet refacing, not all are created equal in terms of how they perform the job. At N-Hance, we offer an innovative approach that includes proprietary products and systems that are not available elsewhere. Combined, these produce a beautiful final result that is more durable, all at a cost that works for you.

Steps to Reface Your Cabinets

At N-Hance, we’re highly experienced when it comes to cabinet refacing. We’ve perfected a process over the years that enables us to achieve superior results from our competitors. It includes:

Consulting

We’ll start with a consultation that helps us learn about your preferences and vision. We can also offer recommendations and help you make decisions that look great in your space. You’ll have a wide variety of styles to choose from, as well as different wood types and paint and stain colors, so you can quickly and affordably achieve a big transformation in your space.

Prepping

Once the cabinet refacing design decisions are made, we’ll come to your home and prep the space. This process includes removing your old cabinet doors and drawer fronts. It also includes draping off the kitchen floor, counter, and other areas in your home to ensure there’s no damage, splatter, or dust left behind. You may need to clear out your kitchen cabinets and drawers before we arrive.

We’ll then clean your cabinet boxes using a proprietary solution that gets rid of grease, grime, dirt, and other buildup common in kitchens. We’ll also repair any small nicks or scratches on your cabinet boxes, so you don’t see these imperfections once the project is complete.

Priming

Once prepped, we will prime the cabinets to ensure the new color adheres properly and there won’t be any bleed-through. We even use a specially designed primer that’s made for cabinets to ensure the best results and create an even, smooth look. When you walk into your kitchen, your newly refaced cabinets will deliver a unified and beautiful look, from the doors and drawer fronts to the boxes.

Painting & Curing

We’ll apply the color of your choosing followed by a clear, finishing coat. We then use our Lightspeed® system to instantly cure it. Lightspeed relies on UV. light to produce a rock-hard, durable finish that’s resistant to common issues like scratching, peeling, and chipping. Since curing is immediate – within seconds – this also limits the downtime in your kitchen.

Installing

Your new doors and drawer fronts go through the same process, simply in our workshop rather than at your home. Once completed, we’ll install them, as well as the hardware of your choice.

Upgrading

During your cabinet refacing project, we can also transition out old hinges for soft-close ones. We can even add upgrades, such as a pull-out trash / recycle bin drawer next to your kitchen sink. There are many possibilities when you reface your cabinets with N-Hance.

Inspecting

When we’re done, we’ll inspect your new cabinets, from top to bottom, and ask you to do the same. We want to ensure you’re completely satisfied before we leave.

From start to finish, our team will be available to answer your questions and address your concerns. We’ll help you pick out your new cabinet door and drawer front style and also make recommendations for other design selections. With guidance from our expert team, you’ll get cabinets that look like new, so you love them once again.

Reasons to Reface Your Cabinets (vs. Replacing, Painting, or Refinishing)

Not sure whether you want to replace your cabinets completely or paint or refinish them instead? Here’s a look at the pros and cons of each process, so you can make a choice that’s right for you:

  • Cabinet replacing: You’ll get brand new cabinets, from top to bottom, that are in line with your vision. However, this comes with a far higher pricetag than cabinet refacing. In fact, it can be more than double the cost of refacing.
  • Cabinet painting: You can freshen up your cabinets, eliminate nicks and scratches, and get a beautiful new color you love. However, if you don’t care for the design style or lines of your cabinets, painting cannot change this.
  • Cabinet refinishing: With cabinet refinishing, you can restore your cabinets to like-new condition and renew their original beauty and luster. Again, though, if the door style is dated, you can’t change it with refinishing.

If you want to change both the door style and the color of your cabinets, refacing provides the ideal option. At N-Hance, we offer many styles to select from, as well as paint and stain colors. We can provide you with recommendations on different finishing techniques, hardware, and more, such as adding custom crown molding to your upper cabinets. We can bring your vision to life at a cost you’re comfortable with.

Another advantage? When you choose to reface instead of replacing your cabinets, you’re also opting for the more sustainable choice. It requires fewer fossil fuels to build and transport doors and drawer fronts when compared to a full set of cabinets. Also, fewer trees are used in keeping cabinet boxes than manufacturing new ones.

We invite you to take a look at our before and after photos and read some of our reviews. You’ll be able to see how N-Hance can transform your cabinets, beautifully and affordably, so the whole space looks new.
